The Chauncy Glover Project (CGP) is an extensive, hands- on mentoring program, created to groom inner city teenage boys into upstanding and accomplished gentlemen. The program focuses on education, manhood, self- empowerment, financial responsibility, etiquette, college readiness and more.
The Visionary, Emmy Award winning ABC13 News Anchor Chauncy Glover created CGP after watching a student die on the streets of Detroit. The young man was shot trying to rob a basketball coach at his school one night. It was then that Chauncy decided to start CGP. He went back to that same school to identify other young men connected to the kid who was shot. Young men with potential but needed extra guidance. Chancy has a heart for his community, and has dedicated himself to inspiring and grooming other young men. To date CGP has sent more than 100 boys of color to college!
